The Busselton-Dunsborough Times recently reported on the new St Catherine's College facilities at Curtin University. Maddison Hibbert, who hails from Margaret River, will be among the first to live at the new facilities and said she was taking up the opportunity to live the College life with her twin sister Kirsten.

Maddison said she was excited to be taking up the opportunity to live the “college lifestyle”, which includes social events and activities, watching movies in the microcinema and Formal Hall on Tuesday nights.

“I am amazed by how nice and modern the building is. I think it’s an awesome opportunity, and if you’re from a rural area and you can make it up, I’d recommend it,” she said.

Curtin Vice-Chancellor Professor, Harlene Hayne, said she was delighted to invite students to make the campus their home and be part of an “exciting new era” at Curtin.

“The opportunities afforded to students who live and learn on campus deepens their connection and access to the university, forges life-long friendships, adds to the fun of university life and ensures they leave us with so much more than their degree,” she said.
